Lee Gamble and Shiva Feshareki + support

RESIST turns one. For our first birthday we are bringing you an outstanding line up from the depths of rave to glitch/digital aesthetics alongside experimental turntable composition and immersive visual art. RESIST is an event that combines that primal feeling of our club experiences with the stimulation of our art experiences.

Helena Hamilton, Belfast based sound/visual artist represented by the The Agency Gallery, London and based at Flax Art Studios is working in collaboration with RESIST and reimagining the Black Box main room space as an immersive visual environment.

Lee Gamble (2hr DJ set)

Birmingham-raised, London-based Lee Gamble is a producer and DJ of exploratory electronic/dance music, and owner of the UIQ label. Releases include on the PAN, remixes and work for Mount Kimbie, Special Request, Amon Tobin and Hyperdub. In 2016 Lee dropped his first 12” for his newly minted UIQ label. Lee has toured extensively over four continents at festivals such as Unsound, CTM, Sónar and ATP, Mutek as well as regularly DJing, both solo and often b2b spinning house and techno with L.I.E.S.’ Ron Morelli. He also hosts a monthly NTS radio show. Most recently he conceived the UIQ label as an open-ended portal for records somewhere in the noumenal realm between waking life and dreamstates.

Shiva Feshareki (live)

Experimental composer and turntablist Shiva Feshareki has composed and performed works at major UK venues such as the Southbank Centre, Royal Festival Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Barbican, Roundhouse etc, and has working relationships with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, London Philharmonia, London Sinfonietta and London Contemporary Orchestra etc. She also organises artist-led concerts in bespoke and experimental settings to create spatialised site-specific works, such as on the foot of volcanos or in nature reserves. Following the international success of her most recent NTS radio show, Shiva has started a regular monthly show for NTS Radio titled “NEW FORMS”.

Multidisciplinary digital interactive/sound artist Robin Price's fantastic analogue synth driven project bringing many beautifully ambient variations of acids and synthesised music, performed as audiovisual livesets. crx091081gb has released music on Bohemian Club & Travin Systems. Supported by the Acid Ted, Music Junkies & deXter Bentley.

v4ts [Topia] (DJ set)

v4ts is a visionary DJ and producer from Belfast who mixes DJ sets across the spectrum of electronic music and techno. v4ts productions are equally diverse fusing elements of industrial techno and noise. He is also co-owner of Belfast's most ecclectic alternative event "Topia" where he runs a monthly radio show on Belfast Underground Records as well as secret and not so secret parties in the city.
