Leading lights - Inspirational women in medicine.

Explore the power of change at this inspirational breakfast panel.

Meet three inspiring women in medicine who have blazed a trail throughout their lives, personally and professionally.

- Dr Bronwyn King, Radiation Oncologist, has taken on big tobacco, encouraging over 33 of the big superannuation funds to divest themselves of tobacco shares - an incredible achievement on top of her role in medicine

- Dr Homa Forotan arrived in Australia as a refugee, after her family fled Afghanistan. 2008’s Young Queenslander of the Year, Dr Forotan is now a junior physician at Princess Alexandra Hospital studying cardiology, and works tirelessly in the Brisbane community advocating for refugees.

She also worked tirelessly for Medicins Sans Frontiers in humanitarian emergencies in Haiti, Pakistan, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Bandah Aceh, Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Iraq, Iran and Jordan.
