Race 1 - Westerfolds Park

Race 1 brings trail running to the north eastern suburbs of Melbourne where you will find Westerfolds Park situated beside the Yarra River in Templestowe. The park boasts over 120 hectares of recreational and environmental parkland offering runners a fantastic trail experience set alongside the Yarra River and its natural surrounding bushland.

Medium Course: 10.6km
Short Course: 5km

As soon as you commence the course you’ll be immersed in nature as the network of trails take you through grassy woodlands of River Red and Manna Gum that meander alongside the Yarra River. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for a population of kangaroos up on the hill as you run through this magnificent inner-urban scenery.

All courses consist of generally flatish running with just a few gentle undulations and minimal technical features under foot like rocks or roots. With easy terrain and flowing trails - Westerfolds Park provides an ideal introduction to the trail running series with accessible courses at a popular, nearby venue. We’re sure you’ll love it!
