This spring quarter, in collaboration with the ASUW’s Joint Commissions Committee’s Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Celebration Series and the Samuel E. Kelly Ethnic Cultural Center’s Events and Programming, we are proud to present Talk Story with Kumu Hina! Renowned activist & Kumu hula Hinaleimoana Wong, otherwise known as Kumu Hina, will be joining us at the University of Washington. We will have a screening of Hina's award winning PBS documentary, "Kumu Hina" in addition to an opportunity to talk story with the Kumu herself!
