About the Master class:

The master class will explore the Value Creation Wheel (VCW): a real-life problem solving framework which helps to solve the priority challenges and problems of organizations, governments, societies, and individuals. The VCW uses the input from internal and external stakeholders to discover implementable solutions. VCW offers unique features at different levels: 1) promotes team building with internal stakeholders, while involving supportive and/or skeptical people, 2) supports innovation while involving external stakeholders, 3) requires the commitment of key decision makers on critical steps, 4) is both agile and structured, 5) separates ideas/solutions from filters/criteria, 6) is a transversal meta-framework proven in innumerous contexts, and 7) presents a MAP approach (Maximize, Analyze, Prioritize) to find the best value proposition and solution. About the Speaker:

Full Professor (Catedrático) in Marketing, Innovation and International Business at Nova SBE, Portugal. He conducted Doctoral Research at Warwick University (UK) and Post-Doctoral Research at MIT (USA) and Stanford University (USA).

For the last two decades he was a Visiting Scholar in different universities across the globe such as Aix-Marseille University, LBS, Korea University, MIT and Vienna University. Currently, he collaborates with different business, engineering and science schools across the globe as well as with the MIT-Portugal program (Lisbon MBA & PhD programs in Energy, Transports, Engineering Design, Manufacturing), where he coordinates the Innovation Module in Bioengineering Systems.

He loves to be challenged, to create value while thinking with no box, to question established practices, and to use late-adopters and the VCW- Value Creation Wheel framework to find solutions for paradoxes and difficult challenges. His personal drive is to have an impact on innovation, technology, business, and society.
