The UK invests millions of taxpayers money into research and drug development, including at many universities and yet thousands of people are unable to afford the drugs that will treat them best because of drug companies artificially inflating prices.

Enraged? Disagree? Or just want to hear more? Come along to our access to medicines short course session to learn more!

This week's Students for Global Health Short Course session has the theme of Access to Medicines! Featuring a brief introduction to the topic from Cardiff's branch of UAEM (Universities Allied for Essential Medicines), Prof John Harrington from Cardiff's School of Law will be talking about the medical law behind licensing and David Cowley will speak about his work helping to provide Hepatitis C treatment to people in Cardiff who need it but cannot afford it. The floor will then be opened to questions from the audience. It's set to be a thought-provoking and exciting event addressing one of global health's most important topics!

Not to be missed so please buy a ticket,
